Smartica represents a noteworthy concept in the realm of smart cities, offering public transportation travelers the ability to utilize a mobile application for the purchase, activation, and validation of digital tickets for urban transit. This service is built upon collaborations with contractual partners, specifically transport operators across Croatia.

With Smartica, users can conveniently buy single or daily digital tickets for public transportation without the need to input or store credit card information. The process is streamlined into three simple steps:

1. Download the mobile application from the App Store.
2. Select the type of digital ticket you wish to purchase.
3. Activate your issued ticket upon boarding the vehicle.

A confirmation of payment will be sent via SMS to the user’s mobile phone, containing all relevant transaction details, while the digital ticket resides securely within the Smartica application. For postpaid users, purchased content will be billed monthly, whereas prepaid users will have the purchase amount deducted immediately from their prepaid balance. The primary telecommunications operator will charge the user’s account for the product/service acquired as well as for any applicable payment transaction fees.

To ensure successful and uninterrupted use of the application, users must meet the following prerequisites:

• A compatible smartphone running iOS with a minimum version of 9.
• An active contractual agreement with a telecom operator for basic telecommunication services, provided through either a prepaid or postpaid model.
• Internet access at least during the purchase, activation, sign-in, and validation of the digital ticket, with sufficient data traffic of at least 100 kB per activity.
• A minimum battery charge of 10% on the mobile device before starting transactions related to purchasing digital tickets.
• Required permissions must be enabled on the mobile device for service use (including Bluetooth, data traffic, location services, SMS, etc.).

Please note:

• The application is accessible to users from all telecom operators enrolled in the Smartica system.
• User registration is not required to utilize the app.
• By downloading and using the application, you accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy of Smartica.
• Downloading and using the app indicates acceptance of mPrijevoz Terms of Use and Payment Conditions provided by Trilix d.o.o. (mPrijevoz – Smartica).
• Downloading the application from the App Store incurs data transfer charges as per the tariffs set by your telecom operator.
• The application facilitates connectivity to Wi-Fi access points.
• Additions and enhancements are planned for future months; users are encouraged to watch for new versions.
• Upon downloading a new version, users will be prompted to re-accept all Terms of Use.
